I was lucky as a kid...my mom and dad both have very sophisticated tastes, and huge book collections, but I was never told to read this book or that by either of them. I was allowed to read anything that I wanted on their dime. I can’t really boil it all down to one book, so here’s a handful from the top:

Operation High Dragon by G. Harry Stine
Heart’s Blood by Jane Yolen
Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey
Out of Phaze by Piers Anthony

Everything from cheesy ‘mech fiction to pit dragon fighting and alternate realities there.

Yes, this is something I want to do (more shirts related to snow crash). I'll try to do something, I've already started to look for inspiration to create a pic of Uncle Enzo.

I look forward to your designs. I have 3 of your shirts (and just ordered 2 more) and love them. Everywhere I wear them, especially at my work (I teach), I am always complimented on the designs and true fans of William Gibson are always asking where I got the shirts.

Hi JC, thank you! Yes, this is something I want to do. By now there are a couple of Tessier-Ashpool polos but I need to rework some of the logos cause it's difficult to cut thin lines on vynil. But it's in my To-Do List ;-)

Would you believe I took that picture? As I remember from the short conversation that we had with Gibson he was aware that your shirts existed, but he hadn't had a chance to check them out yet. He was very happy to see one being worn by a fan.

I wrote a PhD about Gibson's books, pretty much dedicating seven years of my life to furthering the critical analysis of his work, and I had the honour of a half hour chat with him just after that release of Zero History. I'm pleased to say that you are absolutely right - he is a great guy. Extremely intelligent, witty, thoughtful, full of fascinating bits of information and new perspectives while also filled with a hunger to get new information from whomever he is talking to.

Needless to say, I'll be ordering some T-shirts from you soon :D

Saw this blog post, and immediately picked up the book, I'm loving it. It's very well done and a worthy addition to any bookshelf that already contains Neuromancer. Not as difficult a read, but certainly as immersive.

To whoever this girl is: 1. As an artist myself that tattoo is amazing
2. It makes you extremely attractive
3. That would be an awesome surprise for whoever see's you with your shirt off, you don't look like you'd have a 3d tattoo and it probably catch's most of your partner's by surprise

Thanks for your words. I really like that kind of feedback. It's true that many times I refrain from using my first doddles about a design and end up polishing them until they are more...formal. About stickers it's something I want to do but for some reason, spreadshirt USA doesn't make stickers, while Spreadhirt Europe has this option available. I have to explore new paths.

anyway i really want a fucking Ono-Sendai 7 sticker for my laptop. knaamean?
chatsubo shirt is nice, font is fucking spot on. but i think it might be cooler with a slightly bigger, louder, more stylized design - maybe a little fluorescent green, something more pictorial? don't be afraid to design like a hipster; hipsters not only have some great design chops, they are also the corporate technocratic overlords of tomorrw. ditto the TA shirt.

The biggest suggestion I can make is to make these in a polo; particularly the IT ones as at least the last two IT departments I have worked for required a collared shirt (polo's are acceptable). Thinking Q412 (american apparel) or 4640 (anvil, long sleeve). Ideally you could do an embroidered design like the First Party polo from Penny Arcade : http://store.penny-arcade.com/...
